FAQ
How do I know what class to choose?
Email us at [email protected] for a free evaluation and tour! We can sit down and explain our various class or team offerings, help you determine the right commitment level for your family, and let your child try a class or watch a practice. No experience is needed to get started! There is a place for everyone in the Pride!
Are tumbling classes the same as gymnastics classes?
Tumbling classes are strictly floor skills (no beam, bars, vault, etc of gymnastics training). Athletes are taught through a series of training progressions which involve the skills and drills needed to advance through each level in our sport. Safety is our top priority and athletes will only advance from skills they have mastered.
What do I bring to class?
For all of our classes we recommend wearing any comfortable athletic attire including tshirts, tank tops, sports bras, leotards, shorts, leggings, etc with any lightweight, low tread, clean shoes. If your athlete is only taking tumbling or ninja classes with us and not participating in a team, stunt class, or jump class they are welcome to participate barefoot. Be sure to bring a water bottle to class and an excited attitude ready to learn!
What are the USASF Skill Levels?
There are six levels offered by the United States All Star Federation. The level refers to the type of stunts, pyramids, tumbling and tosses that the team can perform. Athletes with similar level abilities are placed together to form a team that will be competitive at competitions. Through our evaluations and placement process, each athlete will be leveled according to their ability in all categories. Similarly leveled athletes with similar age and ability will comprise each team.
Athletes should have competition ready skills before moving on to the next level.
Athletes may be working on new level skills, but may not be placed at the corresponding level at placements. Only skills that have been mastered will be considered during the placement process for our competitive teams. In addition, within each level there are multiple skills to learn. Successful teams will have athletes that can perform all of the skills allowed in the level.
